MMR & Pneucoccial catch-up jabs - any reactions?

11 days ago DS (14mths) had his MMR jab AND the new pneucoccial (sp!!) jab at the same time. He has now had quite a bad reaction - grumpy, off food & drink, rash on back, tummy & face, very fragile - 1 min fine the next minute crying over the last 4 hours. Until last night it hadn't interfered with his sleep but last night was probably the 1st night ever that he has slept badly. The GP says he has a virus & dodged linking it to the jabs. I feel so guilty that I let DS have both jabs at the same time & really wish I'd postponed the catch-up jab.

As this is a new set-up - in fact I think DS was in the 1st week to have this combination, I am now really worried that DS has been a guinea pig. Has anyone else's DS/DD had the two jabs together & how have they been?

Sorry for the ramble - tired & not feeling very eloquent!

chocolate- hope he gets better soon. I think theyt might have been giving it in compbination with the MMR in the States for a while, but I'm not sure of their schedule. If you decide you want to record it as a potential vaccine reaction you can do it here

Oh if it keeps going on, go back. FGS don't beat yourself up though, you're only doing what you've been told is best (and it could be a coincidence). Hope he's better soon

DD2 had the pneumococcal one last week. A bit ropey the next day, but nothing major.

I think you can get a rash with the MMR anyway.
