Took ds to see the consultant today (emkana)

This was the first time she had actually seen us -she was quite nice really, said that ds didn't seem to be doing too badly, but that she would want to see him breathe better, because he does wheeze and pull in under the ribs. So she's changed his inhaler from Salbutamol to Atrovent, to see if that will make a difference. She's also referring him to a lung specialist, which I'm pleased about, and to the community paed to see if he could benefit from physio because of his biggish head and short limbs.
So all in all it was quite positive. No news from the skeletal expert yet though, one month after he received the x-rays.

emkana, that all sounds pretty positive, in that she is acting on her concerns and not fobbing you off. Shame about the x-rays though.

Often think of you

Can you chase the skeletal guy? Seems too long to be waiting unless there were other tests run that he wants to look at too.

How are you doing emkana?

At least she sounds sympathetic and ready to listen to your concerns. Hope the new inhaler brings some improvement.

I'm quite good today, ds looks lovely and chubby tonight in a new sleepsuit, dd1's first week in year one was great, and I even have hopes of dd2 overcoming her clinginess one day!

Sorry, but I laughed at mousiemousie's "Can you chase the skeletal guy?" I bet he can't run very fast.

I'm glad things are happening, emkana - just all seems to take such a long time, doesn't it?

Hey, glad it was a good meeting and she's referring you for the things you want investigated. Have you decided about Germany yet?

You mean the wedding? I will probably wait another week or 10 days and see how ds is before I book anything. Am inclined to go though.
