Not gain YG, she has had such a bad run. I hope she improves enough for her op.
Would she normally need antibiotics? if so getting a dose in tonight might be worthwhile given your time frame for being better?
Will the doc come to you?

Nurofen and give her an hour or so?

I'd be tempted, because of the time frame, to get someone to sit with DD1 and get her up to the emergency clinic for her first dose of abs.

Sounds like you need to see someone asap then. Have a friend whose ds was like this and she just knew what was coming and had to act fast. See if they can prescribe you anti-inflammatories painkillers in suppository form too just in case. May help ward it off in the early stages.

Go with your gut instinct YG - and good luck xx

Yes I think I'd be tempted to get her seen tonight too.

Oh bloody hell, YG - I wish we were nearer

I would come over tomorrow but I have a deadline at the weekend and really have to work all day - if it's going OK by teatime could come then instead of Thurs, would that help?

Don't know history of all this YG, or what the op's for. I'd give both paracetamol and ibuprofen, sit owrrying and checking temp every half-hour and getting no sleep unless things drastically improved. So maybe might as well go to emergency doc's /A&E anyway and have done with it (plus, sod's law always means that child waits 2 hours to be seen then instantly recovers!) Good luck. I'll worry for you.

Meant to say, re medicine - can you smuggle it in milk/juice or if desperate, put it in one of those syringe things and sort of squirt it into the side of her mouth (been there, done that?!)
