hello, my DS is 2.3 years old. four months ago he developed a red patch with small spots in it under his arm. THis progressed to between his cheeks by his anus and at the bottom of his penis. I have been to the doctors 6 times, been told it was thrush and used anti-fungal cream, then that it was a staph infection so antibiotic cream, no joy so oral anti biotics once then a different one, then a different doctor went back to a thrush diagnosis. I have tried teatree, st jonhs wort, chamomile, sage, chickweed and more. I have been to a homeopathist the remedy worked for a week and is no longer working. I have taken him off all dairy. I have lost faith in the doctor and nothing seems to keep it away although he has days when there is no sign of it. He is having so much nappy off time that he is almost potty trained (for wees not poos) I am about to take him to a qualified herbalist but I just want a diagnosis on what it is, is it possible to take him to a skin specialist or something, advice please..

Have you asked your doctor to refer you to a dermatologist?

ask to be referred to a dermatologist. it does take a while but sounds like ti would be worth it.
