I went for my first "run " in quite a while on Wednesday, it didn't hurt at the time but Wednesday night, after kneeling down to change nappies etc at bedtime my right knee started to hurt. I can walk on it but I have a limp and it hurts, stairs are tricky and it is sore when I touch it on the inner part of my knee but it's not swollen. I'm taking ibuprofen and paracetamol and I had some ice on it last night what shall I do? Wait until tomorrow and go to walk in centre, a & e tonight when kids are in bed, or just hope it gets better on its own? It's sore, I have two small kids and it's making me grumpy!

Definitely get it seen. There is a lot in the knee that may have been damaged and some of it just doesn't heal on its own, ever. And what will heal can take a very long time. (I'm into the 3rd month of my knee injury Sad)

And here's me hoping it will just go away! Hope you are recovered soon.

Continue to ice it as often as possible, and take ibuprofen (anti-inflammatory) rather than paracetamol.

My inflammation must be down quite a bit in the last couple of weeks, because I can now walk. Stairs are still tricky, although I've made progress on going down the stairs.

When do you intend to see a doctor?
