Varicose vein open surgery

Hi would love some opinions on this
I'm having a huge varicose vein remove by open surgery under general anaesthetic a week and two days before my best friends hen do which involves water zorbing. There is also an evening do. The pamphlet I've been given recommends taking it easy for two weeks. As I have two kids that won't be that easy but I will try. Would I be ridiculous to contemplate the water zorbing? I am young and in excellent health and am very fit.

You will be bruised and sore for at least two weeks. I was advised to only have showers for at least the first two weeks to prevent infection.
So on the basis of that water zorbing is going to be out of the question.

Thanks for your reply. Did you have to work or look after kids in those two weeks?

Only showers as in no baths. I was signed off work for two weeks, the first week I found driving tricky, second week sore, but not so bad.
