I seem to have developed a sensitivity to refined sugar. I first noticed it a couple of years ago, when eating anything really sweet - e.g. cakes with sugary icing, sugary fizzy drinks etc - I get an instant sharp headache focussed on one area of my head. Happens within minutes of eating the sugar.
The headache then lasts for a few hours, and can sometimes develop into migraine.
Has anyone else experienced this? Is there anything I can do, apart from avoid sugary things?
