Do you currently hypertension? Retinal haemorrhages are common in those with uncontrolled high blood pressure. If it is due to this it may just resolve over time.

The haemorrhage could also be caused by a leaky blood vessel at the macula - which the 3d scan and dye test at the hospital will determine. If it is this there are a couple of drugs available that inhibit vessel growth and these can be injected directly into the eye.
