My husband is scheduled to have a TURP prostate surgery soon, does anyone have experience or advice to pass on please ? Really concerned about infection prevention and aftercare. Thanks in advance.

My dad had a TURP in September. In spite of the fact that he is 78 and very frail, plus had had a catheter in since March, he was only in hospital one night and was totally back to normal within 2 weeks.

Thank you, that's reassuring and I hope your dad continues to do well. Dh is otherwise fit and healthy, 56 and has been using catheters for a year. Just new territory for us!
