Why do I get pregnancy-like nausea with every period now?

I wondered if toy was age related? I am 41 now. It has got progressively worse over the last year. It started as nighttime nausea in bed when I was due on and now it is all day nausea. I assume it is normally related but I wonder why it is happening now? Is it normal pre-menapasual?

No, you aren't alone. I inevitably vomit the first day and am nauseous for at least the day before and well into the second day.
I've no explanation for you though,I always just put it down to PCOS and the general horrifying pain that comes with it.

Yes, me too. I'm almost the same age as you. Every month I think I am coming down with a stomach bug until I remember I am due on. I also get unbelievably tired and spotty. These are new symptoms for me and I also wondered if it was pre-menopause stuff.

Me too. I've only been having regular periods for about 2 years (I have pcos) and have had nausea for at least a day, normally 2 before each one. It's shit. I assume it's something to do with rising hormones. I'm only 34 and I hate the thought of this happening for at least another 10 years.

And me too. I get horrible nausea for about week beforehand, very pregnancy like and triggered particularly by smells. I'm 42 and assume it is hormonal. Oh deep joyGrin

I think it's fascinating that I am not the only one, but I can't understand why I have never read anything about it before.

I'm 24 and had this recently before my periods for last 4 months so not sure if it's age related.

I had an ultrasound for cysts but nothing seen.
