when can i stop boiling water

my dd is 10 months - and i wanted to know when i can stop boiling her water. at a guess i would say when she goes onto cows milk at a year - but i could be wrong!!

water at 6 months according to the fsa. Thats for drinking water. Not sure about formula

pretty sure i stopped at about 6-7 months - when the weaning started basically. they're not eating sterile food at that point so i never saw the need for water to be sterile either - ds seems to have survived it

6 months for formula too - why would they be different?

you can stop sterilising then too btw.

I thought it was better for bottles to be sterilised up to 12months as milk is a great medium for bacteria etc to grow in.

I don't know but a friend rang the sma helpline once and they said you should always do it.

I think that when they start crawling or when they start solids, whichever comes first. Sort of silly otherwise. If they have started solids, they are putting unsterilized things into their mouth, and if they have started crawling they are putting fingers that have been all over every floor in town in their mouth....sort of pointless to be boiling water (unless you live in a 3rd world country).

i never boiled water. But then I never sterilized either.
