I am worried I might have it. Headache since Friday with hurty eyeballs. High temp 38-40 since Sat, mainly 39-40 today despite meds. Feel like utter shite. Widespread viral rash everywhere since Monday. Headache worse today, feels like severe hangover. Too scared ATM to see dr in case I get sent in for an LP and feel like a right twat. Kicks up arse, advice, handholds all welcome while I just have another weep.

Stop it you all made me weep more. I can't get past how the fuck I am supposed to have time for all this. Feel like utter poo though. I'll see what DH thinks when he gets up (does nights)

I had it and I couldn't move where I was in agony. I thought my head would explode. I had a lp and spend two days delerious in isolation so I wouldn't delay going to the hospital. It can be really serious :(

Sorry to hear that OP: can you call 111 for advice or to get an out of hours visit maybe? If they think it is serious they won't want to leave you in sole charge of two smalls. Please at least keep your phone charged and to hand tonight Hmm

Thanks fringe - your username is a quote from a show I like so thought I'd check Grin

Well I survived the night Smile I am still ill but lots better than yesterday. Headache now bearable, temp only 38 something, rash starting to fade. Thinks it is just a bastard of a virus TBH. Taking meds regularly, but it seems I am starting to be on the mend. Just v weird to get so much worse several days after it all started. Did just try to see if my MIL could take the DCs for the w/e but she can't Sad and DH not off at all. But hopefully feel actually better by then.

Sounds more like measles or similar

So today rash has all but gone. But still got headache and hurty eyeballs and high temp. Started last Friday so getting very fed up now.

Went to see GP who couldn't have been less interested Hmm so that was lovely. My surgery is generally fab, but not seen this GP before and planning not to see him again. He did some bloods 'so I wouldn't feel fobbed off'. If I hadn't been feeling ill I would have given him some polite stick about his manner but I was uncharacteristically meek because otherwise I would have cried
