Have always had regular periods - even after giving birth, ECS, and BF I had one 1 months to the day of giving birth.

Two years ago they began changing - got very heavy - they did a smear, all OK and put down to normal hormonal changes that tend to happen around 30. All settled down again.

Past 3 months I have had moments where I've been rendered unable to walk because of extreme lower abdomen pain. It usually passes quickly although a general ache remains for a while, sometimes I have been sick on these same days. I have also had some bloody discharge on the tissue, generally very pink or dark red.

This month I actually had a bleed, not loads but enough that my knickers had blood on, It lasted for 3 days. I have had some really bad pains in my lower right abdomen, just on right of my CS scar, the rest of the time it feels like a stabbing. It seems to hurt more when I get up. Also I have a burning/ stabbing feeling in my cervix which again has become so intense at times it's stopped in in my tracks and bought me to tears.

I've needed to urinate frequently, but it's not a full bladders worth despite how it feels. I also don't have much of an appitite but feel so full and am so bloated. Sad

I'm panicing it's something really bad - please tell me you've all had this before and it's perfectly normal. Of course being a BH I have to wait until Tuesday before I can even ring for an appointment - at least paracetamol and ibuprofen are taking the edge off the pain.

Wtf are the hormonal changes at 30?!

Could your pain be an ovarian cyst? Obviously it needs further investigation.

not sure if much help ,but i had almost identical symptoms and had an ultrasound scan and smear which showed no abnormality.

Nothing is going to get worse before Tuesday, so just take a deep breath and try and relax x

Nothing is going to get worse before Tuesday, so just take a deep breath and try and relax Wow - that sentence has just made me take a deep breath and calm down - I never thought of it that way. Whatever it is - 2/3 more days really isn't going to make a great difference. Smile I'm still worried what it is - but a few days won't change that! Thankyou

A cyst makes sense - I have been trying to slim down, I'm not really overweight as such just a post winter/ pre summer change Wink However despite people commenting that I look trimmer I have put on 2.5kg in the past week Hmm including the 1.5 I'd lost!

I have very similar symptoms with endometriosis. insist on getting referred to a gynaecologist, as it can not be diagnosed by an ultrasound.

I hope yours gets better soon. [hugs]

Saw GP. Have been referred for an ultrasound scan to check for cyst. Got to ring Thursday to book it.

The pain has moved around where my leg meet thigh, at front, and back to on my lower right pelvic bone. There is definate pain in the upper leg. GP did say that that sounds muscular/ hernia type pain but could find nothing to indicate this. Plus that would be too coincidental to have that and mid cycle bleeding and cervical pain and pain near ovaries - surely?

I'm going to ask to be referred to gynae if ultrasound shows nothing.

He was very reassuring in that because I'm not on contraception and not sexually active it rules out anything serious.
