History.

Middle of last week - immense sore throat. Bad headache. Mild fever. Random shooting pains in my bones. Different bones at different times. Mostly bones in my limbs but also shoulder blade. Usually close to the end of the bones but not actually in the joint region iyswim.

I found it freaky. Braced myself for full flu having never had it properly as an adult and being aware of 'achy joints' being one of the distinguishing differences between colds and flu

Lasted a couple of days. Better fri/sat.

Yesterday I was floored with exhaustion and headache. Today I still have pounding head. Hideous sore throat. Slight fever. Cold extremities and shooting pains in bones. They are transient shooting pains though not a constant ache
..most bizaare.

It's the bone thing that is freaking me. Someone please tell me that I don't have some wierd multi bone infevtion thing please.

Sounds like a virus in my totally non professional opinion.

Could be flu. I had full on flu after norovirus (that was a grim 2 weeks) and I get this odd feeling in my legs where I can't bear anything touching them as its agony

Feeling grim today.

I can still get up and deal with getting tge dcs to school (am a single parent so have to).

My bones don't hurt to touch. I just keep getting shooting pains going through them

Shooting pains are nerves. But you must try to get your temperature back to normal. Your sore throat is an indication of a virus.

Take it easy as much as is possible and if you still have all your symptoms after a week or gets worse again, you should see GP.

Hope it soon passes.
