General health

Saturday night in bed by 7.30pm WTF!

New record for me last night. As soon as ds was sound asleep I headed straight to bed, not bothering with supper or anything!

Ds sleeps 7pm-6am which is AMAZING but I'm still constantly tired / run down. It took a month to get over a bad cold and I keep getting tonsil stones and mouth ulcers.

Am in my early 30s with a good diet (ignoring the daily slice of cake!) so why do I feel like this? Is it a normal part of motherhood or should I see the GP? I don't want to waste their time over nothing.

Thank you

Interesting. You could be describing my life atm!
I assumed I was just run down, and post viral.
Have been (sporadically) taking multi vits also, just in case.

Heres to evenings back soon!

I'd ask for a blood test on general health

Me too op. blood tests revealed a para thyroid problem for which I'm waiting surgery.
I actually think I may have ME but am trying not to think about it.
I was asleep by 9 yesterday.
See gp

Get your iron levels checked too, I couldn't understand why I was so shattered all the time. Taking iron tablets has made a huge difference to my energy levels although wrecked my tummy

Was going to suggest having your iron levels checked out, I was told to take iron tablets with orange juice to help with the constipation

Agree with iron levels check.
And yes yes to OJ. Infact I also ate a fair amount of dried fruit too.

You could be describing how I feel as well OP. I'm older though. I'm waiting for blood test results for thyroid, ferritin, blood sugar etc. I hope they find something because I feel like I'm sleeping my life away. I would definitely go get checked out. Sorry you feel so knackered. It's rotten.

When my children were small we were often in bed on a Sunday night, lights out at 8.30. Pure tiredness. Looking back it does seems very early, but there was nothing bad health wise underlying it.

Best to get checked if you're worried though.

I do run around after ds during the day so it could just be that but its interesting to hear how many people had underlying medical issues with similar symptoms.

I've always gone to bed early as I love to read but now it's getting ridiculous! And I guess I just don't feel 100%.

Nearly 8pm so needless to say I'm off to bed! Thanks for the replies.
