Reflexology for children?

We are contemplating leting DD (8ys) have reflexology - she is bedwetting as a result of bullying at school.

The bullying has stopped and we think the reflexology might boost her confidence and relax her

Can anyone think of a "down" or negative

We were thinking of about once a month

Can't think of anything negative, My little sister is a trained reflexologist and she sits and does her DS's feet most weeks, he's nearly two and loves it, it's helped with constipation and temper tantrums. It's so very relaxing it can't really do any harm.
It'll make her feel special too and after the bullying I'm sure that wouldn't hurt either. Smile

Think it's a lovely idea, it's relaxing, its indulgent, and I'm convinced it has a really calming effect. Even if it doesn't stop the bedwetting I'm sure it will have a positive effect on your dd, and make her feel really special, hope it works for you both.

I think reflexology is wonderful for children, asession for a child of your dd's age wouldnt take long, about twenty minutes.I think to begin with it would be best to have a session once a week,to get the treatment established and then move on to once month.Do you live in London? There is childrens reflexology clinic which takes donations, does not charge. You could learn a routine for her feet and do it yourself,a good reflexologist will not mind showing you what to do,it acts like a top up between treatments.Anyway,i think its a v good idea!
