I am also menopausal and have been having trouble sleeping. I know this will sound very silly but I started going to bed really really late, until I was stupidly tired, then I crashed out instead of lying in bed for hours awake. Then I sort of got out of the habit of lying in bed awake for hours, so go to bed at normal time now if that makes sense!

I read somewhere that sleeping patterns become habits so if you're sleeping badly you need to break the habit somehow - worth a try maybe?

I had a very straightforward menopause but for sure, one of the main issues I suffered from was insomnia towards the end of things. I started waking at silly o'clock in the morning and not being able to drop off again. It didn't matter what time I went to bed either.

So I just accepted it in the end and would get up and have a cup of tea and then read for a while. I also found it less hassle to go into the spare room and listen to the radio which invariably sent me back to sleep. The insomnia didn't last long though but certainly, it was worse if I tried to fight it.
