labyrithitis? Menieres?
Add them to the list to discuss with your GP...and how is your blood pressure?

Sounds like labyrinthitis. If you close your eyes, does it feel like you're doing flips? If so, probably labyrinthitis. Often comes on after a cold. Unless you're puking and unable to get out of bed, the drugs are worse than the symptoms (from what I know).

Sympathies, though, labyrinthitis sucks. Coffee makes it worse, from what I've been told (maybe all caffeine?).

Labyrinthitis or the onset of vertigo.

My mum is on the borderline for low thyroid - she has vertigo. Her blood tests almost always come back fine but the GP prescribed a low dosage of the drugs which seems to have helped with the vertigo symptoms as well.

buccastem from the chemist is an antisickness tablet whick is good for vertigo. perhaps it would help till you get to the drs.

yes the tingling was at the top of my scalp....it stopped last week...then satuday morning was the first time i felt this dizzyness in bed....for months i have felt off balance...and have had several conversations with my doctor about my ears etc... but not about this drunken dizziness.

i have my gallbladder ultrasound on 25th , thyroid bloodtest on 31st... so plan to talk to her then. obviously..if gets worse will go sooner...but to be honest...i am so fed up of being sent home with a pat on the back...that i am reluctent to go...as i feel so yuck at the moment...and could not stand to be told'you're fine.'

i felt exactly the same and still do.... all tests coming back clear/gp saying everything is fine, but you know when your not on top form.

just try and relax as much as possible.

i was sent to a balance clinic rather than ENT and put through lots of movement tests.

thinking of you
