Ok so I'm 5'4 size 12/14 & I'm a 36l , I have had huge boobs since I were 12 (34DD) I hate them I can't get bras to fit I have to buy tops two sizes to big but that is not my main problem .
In summer I have constant sores underneath where my bra sits , I have constant back ache / neck ache & have done since I can remember , I'm use to the constant pain so don't really take pain relief for it anymore .
I can't go through another summer of having to stay indoors because of the sores so I can't wear a bra Sad
Is love to be able to pay for a breast reduction but I can't so would I be able to get it done on the Nhs , I get to the point where I want to cut them off sometimes & I shouldn't have to feel like this Sad , can anybody advise me on what the best way to go about it is

My friend had this done, the scars are huge.

I've had this done. The scar is large only in comparison with implants. It fades. I'd much rather be lightly scarred than uncomfortable and self conscious.

Mine was done on the NHS.

Honeydragon if you don't mind me asking how did you approach it with your Doctor & how long did the process take Thanks

Hi op a friend of mine had it done on nhs, you sound like you will have no difficulty getting the gp to refer you.
Just go along to your gp and have a chat :)

I had a bilateral reduction to make them match. Got nowhere with GPs, who waffled about criteria etc and costs.

In the end I asked to speak to a consultant on the NHS to at least get advice on where and how to go about it privately.

Met the consultant who had me referred in 5 minutes of examining me Smile was done within 6 months.

I know some people who've had straight forward referrals through GPs but it depends where you live I think.

Honestly. The scar around my nipple is unnoticeable and the scar under my boob looks like a pale white faint stretch mark.

The op itself was just an overnight stay. They had so many of us in that the next day another patient and I had to share a bed as they had ran out of space before discharges Grin
