Hi everyone,
2 and a bit weeks ago I had like a tummy bug.. no vomiting few loose stools mega cramps felt sick couldnt eat was completely wiped out for 2.days.

It took about a week to get my appite back.

2 weeks and 3 days later I still have tummy problems.
One minute im constipated then next I have diarrhoea.
Achey legs on and off,
Very windy noisy tummy. Feel slightly nauseous in evening.
Slightly bloated but I have so much wind in there.

Silly me googled and now think I have ovarian cancer :(

This is how I felt when I got pregnant!

I'm sure it's not cancer but if you're worried go get looked at

You're working yourself up and it's very likely to NOT be cervical cancer!!!!!

Go to the doctors and tell him/her your symptoms.. It's probably something else entirely and you will feel very relieved and a bit silly for freaking out so much!

In your title you say cervical but in your OP you say ovarian. Your symptoms could be any number of things. Why don't you see a GP?

I meant that in the nicest possible way! Smile

It sounds like IBS.

Step away from Dr Google! It's much more likely to still be your tummy settling down. I had food poisoning once and it kept flaring up for weeks after. When your gut takes a battering it can take a while to recover. Why not pop to the GP next week, tell him your concerns and see what he says? He might also send off a poo sample to see if all the bacteria has gone xx

pregnant?
ibs?
gluten intolerence?
bad uti?

quite possibly an upset/inbalance in gut flora since your tummy upset.

See a GP.

Have you tried Buscapan for the cramps?

Report
ladythatlunches · 26/04/2013 22:27

The cramps are only there when the wind starts. Its high up not low down pains.

The swollen tummy signs of ovarian cancer are not digestive and don't affect that. It is also not wind but fluid that must be drained.
A scan on your ovaries would put your mind at rest, then the real causes can be investigated and treated.
Good luck

deflatine- for trapped wind. Wind pain really hurts.

How are you today?

I had those symptoms, stretched out over a week. I would wake up better, then gradually get worse through the day, with tummy aches, a bit of diarrhea, etc.

It turned out that the milk I was making my coffees with was several weeks past its date. I wasn't drinking enough of it to be properly sick, just a tiny bit each day. I through that bottle out and the problems went away.

Could it be something like that?

It takes a while to get right after a tummy bug. I have health anxiety too and this is also very likely to manifest itself as digestive symptoms, ironically. I could self diagnose myself with something different every day Sad.

Get some Actimel drinks - start off with two a day for three days, then one a day after that.

You haven't got cancer Smile
