Hi
I've suffered from ectopic heartbeats (pac's and pvc's) for 4+ years now, I'm only 36 and following various tests have been assured they are benign. However, I get them so frequently that I've been taking various beta blockers to keep them more manageable. They seem to work for a while, then stop so the doctor is switching me to something called Verapamil, a calcium channel blocker. (Currently taking bisoprolol which isn't working very well anymore)
Has anyone used this drug before for this purpose? If so, any luck with it? Is it effective? I apparently have to make a clean break for 3 days without any beta blockers in my system and I'm VERY nervous about this - I don't cope very well when I'm dealing with lots of these things and I have a young toddler to look after. So hoping the switch will be worth it.
Any help or advice would be much appreciated if anyone has any.
