My DS (7mths) has no teeth yet but is teething really badly. We've been alternating calpol, nurofen and medised but for the last three days he is still waking every hour or so and jamming his fingers in his mouth. He is dribbling a lot and his cheeks are really hot. He is really freatful and screams the place down.
Amy other ideas? Has anyone been to the Drs about teeth? My DD (3) had trouble teething but nothing like on this scale.

Are you sure it is teething that is the reason for his screaming? If it goes on any longer I would go the doctors to get him checked over. It may well be teething but I would have thought nurofen and medised would have helped.

For your own peace of mind and sanity, its best to get him checked. When my DS started teething I read the books and they all said that you shouldn't always assume a baby is teething, as the symptoms could be caused by something else.

You haven't got anything to lose by going to the doctor and even if they say he is just teething at least you will know for sure!

You might want to try the A and P teething powders - they are homeopathic and so can be given as often as nearly every hour - they are absolutely fab if baby is teething and will help settle lo - I would try to ease off on too much other calpol, medised etc unless you lo is really sick -
