What causes this? Anyone know

I've had a cold and now have a chest cough but nothing exceptional but now, for the past week, I've been feeling dizzy all the time. It feels like withdrawal from ADs (for those who've experienced it) but I haven't stopped taking my ADs. I don't lose my balance as long as I walk carefully. I am also struggling with physical exertion - top of a flight of stairs makes me gasp for breath like an old man and see stars.
Just feeling very weak and wobbly in general.

Just symptoms of cold?

I know, I know, go to GP but I can't face going in again and being told it's just because of my depression Hmm

Hi I've just posted on another thread about dizziness, I was also on AD's,
But now I'm not and still get dizzy every month for a few days just before my period, could it be that with you ?
Perhaps a coinciding with you feeling under the weather at the moment, won't help and making you feel worse.
If not then, maybe your temperature, fluids and rest needed.
If you still feel same afterwards, I would see your GP it could be anything quite simple, needing vitamins, blood sugars tested etc. get well soon.

I've been dizzy and nauseous for months and the doc has given me steroid nasal drops as she thinks it might be sinus congestion causing it.
They don't seem to have helped, but I have 'malfunctioning' Eustachian tubes anyway, always bunged up. It could just be your cold has bunged you up too, affecting your balance. Mine feels more like vertigo, it's very odd!
I wondered if my iron levels are low tho, so have started taking Floradix tablets as well.

Hope your GP helps.

PS just to add, I've just perforated both eardrums after an ear infection - you might have something going on in your inner/middle ear too?

Ask about cyclizine, I use this to help with dizziness and nauseousness. Mine is due to vertigo and I find this helps alot.

Might also be worth asking for blood test checking iron and b12 levels.

How are you if you close you eyes and try to walk or bend forward? Do you lose your balance then?
