My week of migraine hell

Hi everyone, I'm looking for some help/advice. I'm a 30 year old generally very healthy woman, last Tuesday (as in 19th March) I experienced my first migraine, it lasted the night. The next day I went to work as normal and at 3.00pm I had another awful migraine with aura. The same thing happened on Thursday and Friday. I went to my GP who told me it appears to be coincidence and that i just need to try a pain relief that suits me. Its been 5 days since I went to me GP and I have had migraine every day since. I've had to leave work early each day because of this. It just seems strange that I have gone from never having a migraine to having them every day for over a week. Is this normal? Has anyone experienced this? I'm just so confused!

I did. Had the first one at 40, then used to have 'heat haze' eyes infrequently 10 years later.I couldn't co ordinate enough to type or write and felt as though I was numb in some limbs it was really scary, I had them for weeks and used to lie on the floor all day(we had underfloor heating) and do relaxation and neck and head massage. I went to drs once or twice a week and opticians several times. It was decided they were hormonal. Then someone said that magnesium would help. I take a supplement for menopause with magnesium in it and it stopped within days. I do have them around the time of my period but no longer have the pain or severity.

Haven't had the 'sudden' migraine thing however, (having done a hell of a lot of research) the most important thing to know is you need two 'triggers' so if you are tired/stressed/hungry/hormonal you need to have two things to get a migraine. I get them due to hormones, stress and dodgy circulation in my neck-thus if my neck isn't good I try to make sure I'm eating well, sleeping well and calm. The City of London Migraine Clinic have a good website which might be able to help you more (they also do appointments which might be worth considering if it continues).

Good luck, they are truly awful things and take over everything whilst they last. Sad
