There something sticking out of my bum

I can't be arsed Wink to name change.

I posted a fortnight ago about having a really itchy bum and was advised to get some treatment for worms, which I did. It didn't work.

I've just had a feel, and there's a little lump, and I can see it in the mirror, not in great detail though as the light isn't great and I can't get close enough without falling over GrinBlush

What is it? It's still really itchy and a bit sore.

Am I going to have to get my lumpy bum out for the doctor? Blush

It sounds like a pile or hemarrhoid. See your doctor who will have seen millions of bums and piles.

Oh god, now I have to wait until Monday. I knew I should have posted before now Confused

Do you think I'd get anything from the chemist?

Sounds like piles to me!

You need some germoloids cream and suppositories, that will sort you out. They can be itchy and sore, horrid things!

You won't need to show the go unless the cream and suppositories don't work.

The chemist will have over the counter cream for shrinking it and soothing the itch.

Piles. Owyowyowy. The outie ones are very sore! You'll need some cream and something to make your poo loose. They never quite go away but shrivvel up nicely. If you're keen, you can have them bobbed I believe.

Maybe your nurse can have a look? I'm sure she's seen worse on a daily basis. In the meantime, try a sanitary pad in the freezer to cool the area.

Bepanthem isn't too bad for the pain. Do not use baby wipes. Nooooooooo.

If possible get your hands on some Anusol HC ointment - the hydrocortisone really helps with eliminating the flaming things.

I'm back. Got some Anusol cream.

When you say it won't go away, do you mean I'm going to have a wrinkly bit of skin hanging out my bum forever more? Where does it go?

I've been using baby wipes to give it a good itch. I can not describe the relief. It's almost better than sex Blush
Should it be as bad as that or am I doing sex wrong?

Will try the frozen sanitary towel, if I can find one!

Funnily enough, I didn't really pay that close attention to my undercarriage to do a 'before and after' comparison! The nurse told me that they wouldn't disappear, and they could be 'shoved back in' if they were a bother. Thankfully, they haven't been! I suppose about half a raisin sized. Fortunately, not somewhere that sees light of day!

Not sure why they come up - usually pregnancy and constipation are the cited culprits.

Ah - knew I'd forgotten something!

Anti-histamines are excellent for the itching - I think those of us that have experienced hemorrhoids know exactly how you feel!

I will also recomment ibuprofen for any swelling (if you're able to take it).

Mine were caused by stress and IBS.

Stress and IBS would explain it.

Why isn't life simple then we could all have healthy bums!

Thanks all for your help, I love Mumsnet!
