Tell me about your PMS symptoms

I had my first period in years (two children, closely spaced plus the last was breastfed for ages) and had what I guess was a fairly classic case of PMS. It's now over two weeks since my period started and my health is still rather, well, odd. For example, I'm having massive energy crashes/sleepiness every afternoon and my body temperature has been very low.

Has anyone else had odd symptoms like this?

I hey quite bad PMS (although mine is netters since having kids)....the energy crashes are familiar to me, and feeling freezing....

But, equally it could be vitamin D or iron deficiency exaserbated by your MC?

Have you had blood sugar tested recently?

I don't have this now but when I was in my 20's and 30's I used to feel absolutely FREEZING cold for about 10 days before my period started. My nails used to go blue and I just couldn't get warm unless I had a hot bath. Also complete exhaustion (almost like the first trimester of pregnancy sort of exhaustion). I'd totally forgotten about this till I read your thread. There wasn't much interest in PMT back in the day, but if this keeps happening I would definitely see your GP. It is utterly miserable and there might be something that they can pin this down to and help. Hope you feel lots better soon.

Thanks, I forgot to check back to this thread so sorry for going awol.

It sounds quite normal then, if not very nice! Is MC short for miscarriage? I haven't (thankfully) had a miscarriage. I have been loading up on iron though as I was mildly anemic through both pregnancies and wondering if the (heavy) period could have triggered it.

I have switched from my progesterone only pill to a combined pill and I'm hoping this might sort it out as it supposedly stops ovulation in most women (it's Marvelon, one of the low dose ones).

Fingers crossed and thanks for sharing.
