Throat feeling sort of blocked

I've had a really bad cold for the past week - most of the symptoms are now getting better.

However, the last day or so, my throat's been feeling a bit blocked. I put this down to phlegm at first, but I'm now pretty sure that it's not that. My voice isn't quite right at the minute, but there's no throat pain (except when coughing), and I can breathe, eat and drink okay.

I tried the NHS symptom checker, but just got very vague responses. I'm not sure if I should be worried about this or not. The next few days are quite busy for me so I'm in two minds about whether I should call the GP for an appointment tomorrow, or whether I should wait and see how things go till next week.

Anyone got any ideas?

You can get something called pharyngitis. My son had this once. It could be your tonsils. I'd see a Dr incase you need antibiotics.
