Pain in the calf (no, I said CALF)

I've had it for about a week now. It feels like my calf is being prodded/squeezed. A bit like if you've been sitting with your legs crossed too long.

What could it be? No bruises, not bashed it.

I half wonder about a blood clot. Can you phone NHS-whatever-it's-called?

Are there any other symptoms? Is the leg swollen or red/hot to touch, get it checked

No other symptoms can walk and stand without it gettong worse. I haven't been on any journeys of sitting for ages in the same position. Bugger.

Measure both calfs, if it is,swollen I'd go and get it seen too. I was walking around with a clot for a week, no redness but pain and eventually it started to swell.

Swollen by how much though? Its my right leg, so I assume (not sure why) naturally larger than my left. That doesn't sound right, does it?

The other possibility that came straight to my mind is sciatica. Mine included pain in the calf, as well in the sole of my foot and in the muscles of my bottom yes I know a bit TMI.

Legs are often different sizes but if it is out by a few cm it might be an issue. Tbh the pain would make me go and see a GP anyway (can you get an appt tomorrow?) as it could be a clot. But it could easily be a number or other things and even if it is a clot they can sort it out. Best to get seen soon just in case.

I saw someone with a blood clot in their calf, and it was a definite swelling like a lump. And painful to the touch. Not red. More likely to be a stiff muscle, but the pain comes when you use it. More when walking. Stretch your leg off the ground with toes upwards while sitting . Or sit on the floor with legs stretched out with heels on the floor and push your toes upwards fully. If a stiff calf muscle that will hurt.

It moves off to the side when I'm walking! I was glued to my desk last Friday for most of the day and I had my super sexy tight leather boots on.

Well, that'll be it then. Especially if you crossed your legs. Don't get the image in my mind of your description that it moves to the side when walking.
< mind boggled face and laughing, sorry>.
I remember wearing "over the knee leather boots" and short pleated shirt for a job interview with the male boss - I got it< grin face> - in 1981

Lack of skirt/trousers probably clinched it!

At least my leg won't fall off. I have a DVT about 20 years ago and can only really remember the rat poison and someone aticking their head around the curtain (in A+E) every ten minutes saying 'DONT CROSS YOUR LEGS!!!' 'DONT GET UP - EVEN TO GO TO THE LOOO' amd even more worryingly (remember, I was vehind a curtain) 'she could diiiiiiiiiie!!!!'.
