ear and sore top of head

I had a virus -raised temp, aches pains- before Christmas. I only mention this because it might have some bearing. But for two weeks now I've been troubled by what feels like a bulging ear drum and at times slight earache, but also a strange sore area on the top of my head, it hurts to move my hair. I've had a headache most days although its not there all the time and my neck has been sore too plus my cheek sometimes feels tingly. Now my throat hurts a bit when I swallow. I've been steaming as i thought it might help if i had fluid behind my ear but would you say this is a virus? or should I be visiting the doctors. It all seems a bit odd.

I'd go to A&E straightaway, you could have meningitis!

I'm serious, this descriptions rings alarm bells and it might be nothing, but it makes my stomach churn (gut feeling)
