Realistic ways to boost immune system?

This year has been a disaster for me health wise. I've had lots of things wrong with me, temporary things like tonsilitis, stomach bugs but they seem to be one after the other. I go for about a week or so feelingok and then something strikes me down. I'm a full time mum to 2 young kids so its so hard not feeling on form.

I eat healthy and exercise twice a week as well as on the go with the kids the whole time. I get enough sleep etc.
I started taking anti depressants in July for anxiety but i was getting ill before that. The tablets seem to have sorted me out and i'm feeling fine now.

So i guess what i am asking is what can i do to boost my immune system? I want realistic things to do...

any suggestions greatly welcomed!

thanks

Have you got a juicer? If I was in your position I would be doing the following: fresh juice everyday (or as close as possible) with any combination of carrot, beetroot, spinach, celery etc on an apple base with powdered barley or wheat grass added.

A brisk walk outside in the fresh air everyday for an hour (winter), particularly when the sun shines. The odd dip in a lake, stream or river (summer).

Some kind of daily 10 minutes of yoga or meditation style activity. It could just be you and your thoughts, alone, quiet and uninterrupted but it needs to be everyday and it needs to be alone, quiet and uninterrupted! Preferably first thing in the morning or in the evening.

No alcohol.

Good luck, it's miserable being ill all the time and it sounds like you don't need that.

I improved my immune system by taking a multi vitamin and a high strength probiotic ever day. I felt like a different person.

My brother in law used to have a cold almost every week and he started taking echinacea (sp?). He saw a great improvement.
