Just wanted to know what to expect really. Im Due to have an appointment at the end of November.
Diagnosed with ME but have had some new neurological type symptoms over past year-neuropathic pain, burning, spaced out, clumsiness, tingling.
Worried that I'm likely to be fobbed off due to the ME diagnosis, am willing to accept that these symptoms might be part of that but would like other things ruled out first.

If you have those symptoms with an ME diagnosis, please ask your GP to test your vitamin B12 (which should be above 500).

My experience would be that it could be something as simple as that and easily fixed with OTC supplements.

Mine was a while ago but I think started with just sitting and explaining the symptoms.

Then you get to do things like stand still with your eyes shut to see if you have balance. Also holding your arms straight out in front with eyes shut - see if one arm drops.

Walking - to check gait, and walking heel to toe to check balance.

You also get the pin prick test over your limbs to check for numbness.

You may get referred for an MRI or Nerve Conduction Test,

Then hopefully you get told you are fine and it may be "functional". If not they take it from there.

Google Neurologist tests and you can see more details.

I had mine all back to front as the Plastic surgeon had done the nerve tests, MRI etc then sent me on to the neurologist. Had to sit and start at the begining which was hard to remember things.

Then she did some balance tests and some tests to see what I could feel.

Then she said she thought it was related to fibro due to the previous tests being clear.
