Feeling awful - how can I keep the kids entertained?

DH and I are both laid low with the D&V bug that the children had last week. Both up all night, and struggling to get off the sofa today. Two boys at home - 5 and 2 - and no family or friends who can take them today. Don't really want to stick them in front of the TV all day - any thoughts, please?

Just stick them in front of the TV or DVDs, it won't hurt them for one day.

That is what the TV was made for. If you're poorly, just let them get on with it for one day. It won't kill them.

I hope you're not going to worry about feeding them proper food either. One day of microwaved tinned food won't kill them.

Thank you. I think that was the permission I needed. I did grit my teeth and take them puddle-jumping for half an hour, so I now feel justified in giving them an afternoon of tv.

Hope you feel better soon.
