1.5 hours wait this am. Was very busy when we went in to EmDoc.

I waited for about 40 minutes this morning, but was told by the operator who took my call that it could take up to an hour. Weekday evenings it's usually only about 15 minutes - weekends are much busier.

I'd ring again. I was called back within 10 mins a week ago. 2 hours is too long

In my experience it can be hours. Even then you are not guaranteed a visit nowadays. The govt changed the GPs contracts 2 years ago and the OOH services have gone down the pan in my area. Don't wait for them if you think whatever the problem is, is getting worse. In the past have twice tried to wait for a call back, but my husband called ambulances as I ended up unconscious.

Hey, all sorted now
I originally called them at 2.30 and again at 4pm They finally called at 5pm and I went to see the doc at 7.30 ish

My nasal septum is swollen and infected :( (and no it is not a self-inflicted cokehead injury)

Tried to see my GP yesterday but no appts til Tues
Now have prescription for various things incl antibiotics but will wait til tomorrow to get the drugs as it is raining here and nearest open pharmacy is too far away

Nice GP though, nearing retirement but sympathetic and probreastfeeding Grin
