Ingrowing toenails - what do you do with them?

DD1 (6) was running around the house just over a week ago and whacked her toe on the corner of the door. Ow!!!!!!!! Her toe bled and hasn't been healing very well. It's been looking very sore and swollen today and looking closely at it I think she must have damaged her nail when she knocked it and the nail looks as though it could be growing into her toe.
Just wondered what I can do for it before I book in with the GP.
TIA

Thanks expat. What do I do with it? Do I apply it neat? How will it work.

if she doesn't have sensitive skin, you can try it neat. or a little petroleum jelly w/a few drops of tea tree.

Good advice expat. My dh has been treating his with tea tree and it seems to be going well. Eeek! Good luck though. It's a painful business according to him.
