Hello
Has anyone else been diagnosed hypo / underactive post pregnancy & had loads of symptoms, then Been on thyroxine & at some stage lost the excess weight and come off thyroixibe?

It seems that 70% post pregnancy thyroid disorder sufferers are normal within a year of the birth.

What are the signs you're going back to normal, how do you know you don't need as much thyroxine then none?

I've put 2st on and still lost none of it :( thanks for help!

I've managed to lose the weight but only be because I am on thyroid medication.
Make sure you get check ups every 6 months so that you make sure your prescription is the correct level-it's not just weight -I feel awful if my thyroid is playing up.

I would recommend a blood test every month. This will make sure you pick up any changes early on.

It's true lots of postpartum thyroiditis can be temporary, but it does usually come back and stay - eventually - might be years, or decades for some. You shoudn't change your dose without discussing with dr, assuming dr knows what he/she is doing ....

Hi everyone
Thanks for input!

Mega stardust / do you think if don't lose weigt and am exercising x5 p week us 1500cal per day it means dosage is wrong (100mg and am 13st?)

Does anyone know what the sins are that it is going? Do you sudden get rely over active symptoms when taking thyroxine and have more blood tests until natural tab is between 1-2. Surely this would take at least 6omths? Smile
