Jumps over from old thread, grabs a few fbs and heads off to do the school run.

ooh! new thread - i will never remember it all from old one though but sorry to lime sometimes life just sucks. hugs

gigs dd is a little better and has gone school trouser etc shopping with son and girlfriend (and an alarming amount of cash). She talked to me a little bit last night about how miserable she was that I have cancer and how she thought it was making her sick. Have tried to explain that holding stuff in like fears and worries doesn't make them go away but makes the fears come out in another way...

Oooo lovely new thread. I like the curtains.

OTM heck re dd. The cancer charities often have very good counsellors to talk to/with younger members of the family. Might be worth a thought. You probably knew that already though. Have a cake.

amber the problem is that d will not 'talk'. She's had real problems since we picked her up and moved her away from our old home (long story, we did it out of necessity) and she was bullied at new skl then the next one and now, finally, she is happy st school about to move up to upper skl and is relaxed and happy. that is until stupid old mother got diagnosed with cancer and dd started vomiting, again. it's ust what she does when she is anxious but she can do it 24 times a day (and in the night) and she stops sleeping and begins to look like a zombie...we did get her to cahms once but the therapist she saw really wasn't very good and didn't 'get' her at all nor how bright she is. she described him as a patronising post graduate with self esteem issues!

Afternoon all - am I allowed back?! Sorry I've been a stranger for a while - been busy, away at parents, doing holiday stuff with DS etc.

Normal MNing service should resume tomorrow when DS goes back to school!

So much going on - sending out hugs for tests, results, treatment, other medical pokings and proddings, difficulties with DC, legal paperwork stuff, stress and generally anyone in need of Brew and cake.

My sore bits have finally healed, and I have got an appointment through with oncologist at end of sept. what will it involve? Do I need DH there?

Hope the sun is shining where you are Smile

I'm fed up of name changing and the stress that goes with that so I am de-cloaking, Lumpy here. If anyone from real life recognises me here, please keep this to yourself unless I say otherwise (that'll be common sense, right?).

Lots of love to those with stress and soreness. Brew

ned think it'll be a general check up to see how you are healing after rads, how the tamox is going etc - a physical examination - nothing scary Grin
lovely to see you back here.

amberlight · 03/09/2012 17:23

Ned, yup, my first Onc examination after chemo and rads was general questions, a feel of boob (s) and underarms to check all OK so far, and off I went again. Nothing too stressful, though I did take someone with me anyway.

OldGoldBoots, we have a decloaking device? Egads! No chance we have a transporter beam 'n all, is there? I could do with a nice tropical island visit...

Report
Gigondas · 03/09/2012 18:26
