Intermittent bleeding

Bloody internet, just went off and ate my post.

Anyway. I mentioned to my doctor I have been bleeding between periods on at least 6 occaions and also after sex. Booked me to see the nurse that afternoon but started bleeding an hour before so she couldn't swab me. She said to come back after my period had finished as that was due a few days later. I am hoping to go on Friday but I keep bleeding and then stopping, this period has lasted longer than normal too.

3 years or so ago I had a check under GA due to intermittent bleeding that had gone on for 2 years, and I was told I had polyps but the follow up consultant said it wasn't.

I have to have swabs taken and then a scan to see what is going on.

Smears are all fine.

Any clue to what might be going on please?

I am confused as one said polyps and the other not but she didn't seem to have any clue what it was, "oh, just your period probably" Hmm.

More blood today so I can't go today.

I am not going to google but worse case, what might it be?

I had a scan and vaginal probe. Had to be referred.

Just back from gynae appointment. Have to go back and have another procedure under GA. One possibility is endometrian cancer.

Planning on a quite day, watching a bit of tv and doing my jigsaw.
