Doctor has givin me pain killers and anti inflammatory's for my bad back but they have made me so constipated, so much so that its making my cerix blead (i have slight erosion), this has only ever happened when i have been pg.

What's the best thing to take or eat without going to far the other way (i don't want to be gued to the loo)?

Try senokot from the pharmacy or something similar. Take before bed and then first thing there should be action. Plenty of fibre and prune juice!

I used to take 2 sachets of Movicol in one go with a laxative and it still didn't make me move. I tried 2 tsp of Epsom Salts dissolved in hot water and it was far, far better than any laxative I can get OTC. I have tried laxaberol (sp) and it was fab too.

I had very bad painkiller induced constipation recently. Lactalose (ask pharmacist) taken twice a day and if that doesn't work you can add in Senna at bedtime. Senna is best at night because it can cause stomach cramps which are unpleasant in the day. Make sure you drink lots of water.
Mines all cleared up now and I'm on a high fibre diet to keep it moving, as I'm always on painlkillers Sad thanks to long term condition.

My bowels don't work due to nerve damage, strong painkillers and long term use of laxatives etc.
If diet doesn't work, go to pharmacy and get something like movicle.
There are other things like lactolose, or senna and magnesium. They might work for you.

I take 6-8 movicle a day, prucalopride and use a peristeen.
