Has anyone recovered from an eating disorder? What can I do to replace eating when I am sad/happy/tired/bored?

I am a terrible binge eater. For any reason. You name it, it's an excuse to eat vast quantities of something inappropriate. And now my insides aren't right and I've had to confess it to a GP. And I would like to fix it but what can I put in the void that's filled with food?
