Mouth ulcer

Very minor query but it's bugging me and I am very squeamish! I very occasionally get a small mouth ulcer, usually when I've been run down. I have woken up today with a larger-than-usual ulcer, however when I checked in the mirror, it's black! They're usually a pinky/red and I'm revolted & a bit freaked out!

Anyone ever had anything like this?

Are you sure this isn't a blood blister at this stage perhaps? They can be very dark colour in the mouth.
