I used to have these wuite regularly when I was younger - I didnt actually know what they were, until I had a serious one about 3 years ago, when in public with a small child - very scary. Since then I haveonly had oine more, until last night. Usually, afetr a little sleep i feel ok, but today I feel dreadful - I fell through a door, have injured my foot and have a stinking headache and ;lots of pulled muscles. Both my children witnessed it too (middle of the night, getting up for them)

I am pretty sure it is a build up of no sleep for the last 6 months - we're having huge problems with DD1 and her sleep. i was sound asleep after getting up with her 4 times and I think I was just shocked when she burst into our room and leapt up too quickly.

Anyway, I guess what I am trying to say, is can anything be done about these episodes?

I am regularly dizzy. It makes me feel drained especially after a poor nights sleep when I feel weak, dizzy and my muscles ache. I have to take extra care when getting up from standing especially at night. If I have to get up at night I sit on the edge of the bad for a few seconds before I get up and by the time I get to the bedroom door I have to bend over and wait for my vision to return before it is safe for me to walk down the stairs where our bathroom is.
In the UK low blood pressure is not really treated as far as I am aware. Try and keep yourself well hydrated and get as much rest as you can.

thanks Topsi. It was pretty frightening last night- I felt it coming on so put DD2 back in her cot, but had I been carrying her, we'd be two injured people! I will be more cautious getting up to dd1 tonight.
