I ache ALL the time. Certain parts more than others...and worse in the morning and evening.

Im 38...not overwweight or underweight...quit fit...as in I walk and ride my bike a lot. But it's getting worse....one foot is always hurting underneath..both shoulders hurt, both knees, both ankles, my neck somtimes and both wrists...

Its getting me down. I have a 3 year old and a 7 year old...kneeling is becoming harder and harder....is it just age?

D you ache much? hould I see the doctor or is this part of being a Mum in your late thirties? Sad

I had a lot of achiness when I had the copper coil in.

When I had it removed, the pain went.

Try taking ibuprofen regularly for a couple of weeks as it seems to calm inflammation down and helps break the pain cycle.

Thanks hidden...I'm not on any birth control ...we use condoms. I can't think hat it is...I dont have visible swelling. But it's getting me down a bit as it's impeding me now.

Definitely get it checked out at the doctors.

I'm also late 30's and don't drive so walk and ride everywhere and have definitely noticed the last couple of years that I'm generally aching much more, particularly hips, knees and ankles but have put it down to getting old!

Definitely get it checked out. I am a (v nearly) 36 year old mum of three and I don't ache at all. Maybe if I exercised I would though? I am healthy weight.

I wouldn't have thought so no. I can't say that I have ever really had any aches unless I am hungover or been on a long walk etc. Get thee to the docs to be on the safe side.

I am 37 and I get aches in my Knees, wrists. there is arthritis in my family although I have never been to my gp about my aches.
I have 2yr old and 7yr old dc so almost the same as MumblingRagDoll. I find my knees ache most when I'm going upstairs.

I would get it checked out at doctors but, if they find nothing, be aware that sometimes being a little bit "out of balance" can have repercussions all over the place. Treatments like Body balance, Alexander Technique or exercise like Pilates or Yoga can sometimes help

I'm dropping to bits, I'm 28 and honestly I ache all the time, when I wake up I walk downstairs like a robot, it takes me a good 10 mins to stand upright! I have been checked by the Gp and he said its stress making my muscles tense up. I saw a private physio untill last year and he said pretty much the same but when I was seeing him I was a bit better. I'm fairly fit but have suffered for years and I was very fit and active then (horses). I find (if you can find time) just lying in a hot bath can ease the aches but not much else! Not very helpful but at least your not alone - do get checked though, Doc did a blood test and that ruled out the serious problems (I can't remember exactly what they were) but that was all it took.

Get your doctor to refer you to a specialist (usually a rheumatologist) to test for fibromyalgia. What you're describing is a primary symptom.

Yes me but mine is mainly all in my neck, back and shoulders. I'm 37 and I worry that if I'm like this now what on earth will it be like in 10/20 yrs time? I take painkillers every day and have seen numerous osteos/physios etc. I do pilates from time to time which helps a bit. Mines all to do with bad posture though, exacerbated by a whiplash injury and not helped by a lifetime of work at a desk. You should def get your aches checked out though, it sounds like it's all over rather than in one area like me.

You need to go to the gp, the fact that you have aches mirrored in each joint could be significant, so you need some blood tests.

This is not age related, or being a mum, you are young and fit, don't put up with it, they may be able to help. Hiddenhome's suggestion of a course of anti-inflamatory drugs may well be something that the gp tries with you.
