Hi,
I've had some lower back pain before related to overdoing it with carrying my toddler, but this morning I stooped to pick him up (didn't even get as far as lifting) and put my back out completely. The doctor says I've pulled a muscle and it could take weeks to heal. I'm scared because I can't walk very easily, find it hard to stand up straight and lifting things really hurts. I don't know how I'm going to manage looking after my little boy. There is always a lot of lifting to do - in and out of cot, pushchair, highchair, bath. In fact almost every activity seems to involve some lifting and that's not even taking into account how much he likes to be picked up. I feel like I'm just going to end up making the problem worse.
Really interested to hear from anyone who's had a similar problem and how they coped. Also what helped you recover - osteopath, pilates, yoga?
Thanks for any advice
