So, I googled my symptoms... (I know, I know)

which are:

Heart beating faster when I sit down in the evening.
Periods all over the place (I'm on the pill and bfing twice a day)
An increase in sweating - I never used to be a sweaty person and now I sometimes get wet patches on my tops, mmm nice.

and even though I'm only 38, I've come up with the diagnosis that I'm going through, or about to go through the menopause. Oh great.

I will go and ask the GP about this, but thought I'd ask the collective wisdom of mumsnet first to see what you all reckon.

Could be, but i'd also ask for a thyroid test as some of your symptoms could be attributed to an overacive thyroid.

the heart racing thing makes me think of thyroid issues too?

OK - I've just come back from the doctor with similar symptoms - the sweating is awful, - its over active thyroid in my case. He's put me on beta blockers to get my heart rate down and referred me to an endocrinologist.

So I would def. ask about that so they do a blood test.

When I had similar symptoms plus some others I googled my symptoms and thought I had early onset parkinsons! Turned out I also have an overactive thyroid. I have been on tablets and beta blockers for about 3 months and its still not under control but at least I know what it is and Im getting help to sort it out!

My symptoms were mainly:

Tremors on my legs and hands
Sweating a lot and feeling hot all the time
Fast heartbeat
Dropping things and bumping in to things
Sore eyes

It was because of the tremors and dropping things I saw the Dr and then we linked all of the other symptoms as well once we talked about it. I would definatley get a blood test as your symptoms sound similar. Hope you get it sorted whatever it is
