Anyone know why this might happen? I'm not on any birth control, and am freaking out wondering what's caused this, as my cycle's usually anywhere between 21 and 28 days. Thanks

I don't know why but my periods were any where between 16 to 27 days. I started ttc in January so been taking various vitamins including b6 which is supposed to good for regulating you. The last 4 months I have been bang on 27 days which is very unusual for me so looks like it helping. But no bfp yet Sad

Thanks for your reply orangehead. Sorry you have not had any luck ttc yet. FWIW, when I was ttc no.2, I was convinced I was ovulating around days 12-16, but when I bought one of those ovulation kit things it turned out I was ovulating much earlier than I thought - around days 8-10. Have you ever mentioned your cycle lengh to the GP?

I tend to ov between day 8-12, but since af has been bang on 27 days ov has been day 12 every month. So things seem to be moving in right direction. Mentioned to gp but they dont seem bothered. Also went the other week and gp confirmed that the scar tissue I have could have blocked my tubes. But said he cant refer me to have the dye thing done till been trying for 12 months

zen how old are you? I have a period about 18 days after the last one, my cycle has got shorter and shorter as I've got older. I'm 41

cyb - ditto! I'm 39 (the latter end, alas!) now and my cycle's also got shorter as I've got older. In my 20s, it was 28 days or more in length, but since I had my last child 2 years ago, it's often been 23 days and never more than 27 days. The 18 days took me a bit by surprise though...

My cycle is getting shorter as I get older. A nurse friend reckons it could be start of menopause SadSadSad

Know what you mean cyb; I could do without the pain as well, but I would rather be 10 years older. Orangehead, 33 would be very young for menopause. Isn't there some kind of blood test they can do to check your hormone levels?
