No - but I'm having it done tomorrow so will watch this in fear!

Also - not hijacking honest but - my period has started this morning. Does that matter? I'm guessing not but I still wish it hadn't.

Glass - I had mine done the day after I started (Novasure method) and it was fine... Search for ablation on here, there are quite a few positive stories.

Kath sorry it hasn't turned out as well as you'd hoped - could you go back and see your consultant, I was told that the procedure won't stop the pain directly but the reduced bleeding might help with the pain... Good luck, hope you get something sorted out...

Thanks Ace - that's good to hear.

Kath I agree with Ace - you should def go back to the doctors.

Hi Kath, have had mine done now and feeling OK. The surgeon who did mine said they use a different procedure now as they used to do Novasure and found that some women did suffer monthly pain afterwards - is that what you had? Sounds like Ace was OK so you are very unlucky to have this.

I have my fingers crossed for a good result and hope you can get some help with your pain issue.

It's good that the doc listened and is going to do some research of her own Kath, I really hope you get sorted out soon.

Glad it's gone ok glass

There does seem to be a difference amongst surgeons as to which technique to use, mine only does Novasure because he felt he got better results with it...

I'm feeling crap today - I know it's my fault because I've been busy but I honestly feel like crying and I can't seem to snap pout of it. maybe it's the anaesthetic, I don't know. We are going on holiday on Sunday - me DH, his kids and his mum and I am trying to do the shopping on-line to take with us and it keeps crashing. I am supposed to be dropping some stuff off at the accountants this afternoon but just can't face it. I feel so pathetic.

Don't underestimate the effects of a general anaesthetic - mine knocked me for 6. As much as you can, listen to your body, rest up as much as possible (not easy with a holiday looming I suspect). It does wear off though and once it does you should feel great - certainly by the time I'd stopped feeling like someone had drained me of all my energy I was great - no pain or anything from the actual procedure...

Thanks Ace - I'm usually pretty resiliant but think I just need to put my feet up for a bit!
