Anyone have experience of post abortion complications?

I had a medical termination about a week and a half ago.
Everything seemed to go as normal although I did have really heavy bleeding and a lot of pain, at the time I didn't want to go to hospital.
The bleeding seems to have stopped (mild spotting at the most) but I am still in absolute agony, my lower abdomen is really tender to touch and I am getting really bad sickness.
I am going to attempt to get into the GP walk in clinic this morning, does anyone know what they will do? Will they examine me, scan me/. Give me antibiotics?

I know no one can know for sure but does anyone have any experiences they can relay?

Thanks

I don't have experience but my understanding is they'll probably want to have a feel and possibly send you for a scan just in case not everything has come away.

Please make sure you do go today it's really important you see someone.

I will try my hardest, getting and apt in our GP's surgery is a nightmare. They get you to ring at 8am but when you ring its engaged, by the tie you get through all the apts have gone! It's madness! I am in so much pain though so I will try to get in.

If you can't get in you should go to the walk in/ call NHS direct IMO

I saw the GP, she was lovely , gave me some antibiotics and said an emergency scan needed to be done but it can take up to 10 days!
The pain is just getting worse and I have started bleeding again, started spotting yesterday but this morning its like a heavy period. Could this be any residual tissues coming out?

I'm not an expert. Did the gp give any indication of what might happen next? If you are worried the you must call or go in.

And of course the gp was lovely, I hope you are MIT thinking she would have been anything else die to the nature of your problem.

Your lower abdomen being tender to touch can be an indication of an infection. If so, you should start feeling better from the 2nd day on antibiotics.

Do you have a fever?
