Dizzy all of the time?

Just a curious message really, as my GP is being pretty proactive and seeing me every couple of days but...
I have been dizzy for three weeks now. It isn't like vertigo (ie no room spinning) but I am constantly dizzy and it is made worse if I suddenly move my head, or am in a place where there is lots of visual/aural stimulation.
I am not anaemic, my thyroid function is fine, in fact all my blood results are normal. The doctor suspects something inner ear and has out me on anti-dizziness medication but it is not working. Everything I read about the inner ear disorders seems to suggest that vertigo is a classic symptom but, as I say, I don't have spinning, just feel woozy and like I am going to fall over.
It is exhausting!
I am back to the doctors tomorrow, but am curious t see if anyone has ever had anything like this?
Thanks in advance,

Sounds just like my friend's situation - she had either labyrinthitis or Menieres, doctors were never sure. It went away eventually, then came back every time she was tired/run down - she felt sick with it, woozy, exhausted.
In the end, she had an adjustment type manoevre done by an ENT doc - he tilted her ear/head a certain way for a precise number of minutes, then she was allowed to sit up. She felt awful for 24 hours, then it was gone - not come back since. jsut telling you this in case it comes in handy to know about it some time in the future - obviously you need a diagnosis first!
Will your GP refer you to ENT?

That's how i've been feeling for a week! I suspect something to do with my inner ear. I had a cold a few weeks ago, then a headache for a few days, and then this. I've also been quite tired and feeling under the weather on and off. I haven't been to the GP yet though, maybe I should...

That is exactly what I have had, and I have had it for 9 months now. At first they thought it was an inner ear problem because it started with a cold. I have had every test you can think of, been to ENT, neurologist, balance tests. Now they think it may be migraine related.

My dizziness is like yours too, not spinning vertigo. There is a long thread somewhere on here about it - I will find it and link, it may help you.

I feel for you, its awful. I cant do anything with it and it has taken over everything.

here you go, lots of us the same on this thread.

Feel free to PM me if you have any questions, the medication didn't work for me either, which suggests it isnt ear related. You need to push doctor to get you to see an ENT specialist. I've had appointments non stop for months!!

Thanks for the replies. I will push for an ENT referral tomorrow.
Off to have a look at that other thread now - thanks again.
