Have a short flight to sunny Spain this weekend coming.

I also have had a headcold a few weeks back and been left with sinus pain in face and forehead. I dont feel blocked up in my nose but obviously am in my head iykwim.

Started a course of anti biotics last Friday which finish on Thirsday night. I am inhaling steamy olbas oil but most mornings I am still waking with a forehead headache and ear ache.

Last night I drove 5 hours and every hill I drove up and down mad emy ears pop. This has now made me worried about flying on Saturday.

Anyone have any advice on what I can do to not make the flight so painful on my ears? Anything I can take, or do to try and clear this before the weekend?

(have also posted this in the travel section as was not sure which was the best one)

Sudofed decongestion tablets are good for clearing sinus blockages. Perhaps a nasal decongestant as well?

Hope you feel better soon.

Can you get back to the GP before you go?
My DS had dreadful ear infections last year on holiday. Spanish doctor gave antibiotics but it didn't clear up. When we got home our GP gave him a Otomize spray which is antibiotic/ hydrocortesone I think. It worked like magic.

Ironically I have an ear infection myself so you have my sympathy. I'm stone deaf and it hurts.

Well I am currently dosed up with sudafed, antibiotics and just finished steaming with Olbas oil. Am on Seven seas tonic as well. I feel really ill actually, My glands in my neck hurt like hell.

Am spending this afternoon doing nothing but resting. If I feel like this tomorrow I will go back to the Drs!!

I think its a case of being run down. I have been tired but working hard on exams and have just finsihed college, then my DD was in hopsital having further tests and we were waiting to see if she needed an op - thank fully not. But I think its a case of being stressed for weeks on end and carrying on regardless and then when you stop you become ill!! Sods law its in the few days before my holiday! Hopefully if I look after myself, I will feel better by Saturday.
