Uneven shoulders

I've noticed that there is a difference between the height of my shoulders. One seems 2-3 inches lower then the other.

I first noticed that tops were looking lopsided across my chest and stood in front of the mirror thinking one of my breasts must be different but then it was really clear it was my shoulders.

I'm not in any pain with it, just wondered if anyone had experienced the same?

Should I go to the gp or a chiropractor?

Yes, I have it too. Don't know if it's caused by years of wearing my school backpack slung over same shoulder, perhaps? Yes, you should see someone, I guess.

I think it must be a recent thing though. I would have noticed it before I think.

I guess I noticed the tops being uneven about 2 weeks ago? I thought it was one top in particular then noticed it with more and more and eventually stood naked in front of the mirror which is a rare event tbh!

chiropractor sorted it for me.
My right shoulder was getting closer and closer to my ear..... She did a lot of work on my neck and i am now straightened out and staying that way Grin

I get this sometimes, and it tends to mean that I've got muscles tensed up on one side of my body and not on the other. I use Alexander Technique (basically postural training, in which you learn to 'let go' at will, of any muscle group in your body) to sort mine out.

will look into the alexander technique then whydobirds and maybe book in for a free session at the local chiropractor.

I don't feel tense. And Bubble it's funny you saying about one shoulder being up by your ear - I can't decide if ones up too high or the others down too low now!

Glad I'm not the only lopsided freak then :o

Haha! If I don't keep the AT up I usually have one arm about 3 inches shorter than the other too!
You may not feel tense, but most people overuse muscles - in other words they use muscles unnecessarily, for example tensing thigh muscles when sitting on a chair. Over time this compounds, and you end up all wonky and out of kilter. If you habitually carry any sort of weight on one side, for example, it'll happen if you don't consciously let go of whatever you don't need to be using.
